Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel was established 30years ago by
the Government. In 1995, ownership and management were taken
over by the Sakura Group of Japan. Extensive renovation,
upgrading and expansion have been done, and are continuing
to this day. Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sakura Hotel is situated on
the bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Originally built by the
Government, Thiripyitsaya has since then been renovated and
expanded, sprawling over 24 acres of landscaped gardens
featuring tropical trees and flowering plants.
Accommodation:
Thiripyitsaya has 59 superior and 9 deluxe rooms and 8
riverside, spread amongst 24 acres of landscaped gardens on
the banks of historic Ayeyarwaddy River. All are decorated
in Myanmar Style, with an abundance of wood and local
materials. Verandahs surround the rooms and suites, several
looking out to the river. Terrazzo bathtubs in the suites
allow one to soak while enjoying peaceful river views. All
conceivable comforts are provided for guests ease and
well-being, from personal safes, mini-bars, individual
air-conditioning controls, satellite television channels to
kimonos and hairdryers. Swimming Pool:
Thiripyitsaya has the biggest outdoor swimming pool in
the area. The pool deck is the perfect place for reading a
good book, working on a tan, or simply relaxing and soaking
in the serenity of Bagan. Thiripyitsaya is a place of
unforgettable sunrises, magnificent sunsets and magical
moonlit nights. Dinning & Spa:
Whether dining inside or al-fresco, guests can choose
from an array of Asian delicacies, continental cuisine and
extensive beverage list. Different treatments and
therapies can be availed of at the Spa. Using age-old
methods of massage including acupressure and reflexology,
and only natural oils and herbs, trained therapists soothe,
relax and rejuvenate tired muscles and joints, bringing a

World-class Asian and continental cuisine is offered in
the Nadi Restaurant, Sunset Terrace and at the Verandah
Grill & Bar. A selective wine list as well as a wide range
of drinks are available. The Nadi Restaurant features wall
panels of old lacquer interspersed with glass. Outdoor
dining on the Sunset Terrace or the Verandah Grill and Bar
can be fully enjoyed all day long, capped by romantic
candle-lit dinners with the Ayeyarwaddy River as backdrop.
